Saint John’s wort is an anti-depressant that is reputed to alleviate chronic anxiety disorders also. Its effectiveness has been found comparable with artificial medicines like Valium and has very negligible side effects. Its biggest attraction, as with most other natural remedies to anxiety disorders is that it is not addictive.
